Coaches

Kyle Pheasant joined the Lightning baseball coaching staff in 2017, but he is no stranger to Sage Hill. He has been working at the school since 2011 as Facilities Engineer, making sure the school runs smoothly. He is involved in everything from deliveries to major construction projects, and serves on many committees. Kyle also teach a week long seminar named "How To Do Stuff" for Spring at Sage, where students learn several practical skills such as changing tires and how to survive in the wilderness. He played for Bremerton High School where he made the Olympic League All-Star Team as a two-way player and pitched at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington. He previously coached 2 years for the Huntington Valley Little League and six years for Fountain Valley Pony Baseball. Coach Pheasant currently sits on the Board of Directors at Fountain Valley Pony Baseball and serves as Commissioner for over 50 teams in the Fountain Valley Youth Competitive League. Growing up baseball played an integral part of his life. His father managed every baseball team he was on until he went to high school, teaching him the importance of hard work, dedication, teamwork, and setting goals in order to achieve success.
