  • Rigorous and Competitive

Discover the thrill of teamwork and push your limits in world-class facilities -- from the Peter V. Ueberroth Gymnasium to our championship soccer, football, baseball and lacrosse fields, all-weather practice track, indoor and outdoor weight rooms, Brett Connor Jordan & Family Tennis Center and Aquatics Center. Through athletics, students learn valuable lessons in sportsmanship, integrity and courage. Sage Hill enables every athlete to reach their full potential.

Middle School

Middle school athletics at Sage Hill foster teamwork, confidence and school spirit in a supportive and energetic environment. All students participate in a team sport each season -- fall, winter and spring -- as part of the physical health requirement, with opportunities to compete or simply grow through active involvement.

With offerings including volleyball, flag football, water polo, basketball, baseball, soccer and lacrosse, students will build skills, develop discipline and learn the value of collaboration. Guided by dedicated coaches, our young student-athletes will experience the joy of play, the challenge of competition and the pride of representing their school.

Upper School

Lightning athletics values teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Our teams and individual athletes have achieved success at the league, division and state levels. Sage Hill’s coaches and instructors, many of whom are former college and professional athletes, use their expertise and passion to help students reach their potential. Interscholastic sports are rigorous and competitive, allowing our athletes to test their skills against worthy opposition. These competitions help build school spirit and generate a sense of community.

Teams compete in one of three seasons: fall, winter and spring. Most sports practice daily, immediately after school. Games and meets typically take place after school or on Saturdays. We encourage multi-sport athletes to participate in as many seasons as they desire. We also offer an on-campus Strength and Conditioning program that enables athletes to maintain and improve their fitness in the off-season.
