  • Placement Exam Information

Sage Hill School uses placement exams in math and world languages to ensure that every incoming student begins in the courses that best match their current skills and learning needs.

Students entering both the middle school and the upper school may be required to complete these assessments as part of the enrollment process. Results are reviewed carefully by School administrators and department chairs, who consider each student’s experience and readiness to place them in the level where they will be appropriately challenged and supported. This thoughtful approach helps set the foundation for a successful transition and a meaningful academic journey at Sage Hill.

Check back in early February for more information on math and world language placement exams for the 2026-2027 school year.
