Publications Staff Wins 5 Awards in State Contest

Four students from Sage Hill’s Publications staff won a total of five individual awards in the 2018 California Press Women’s High School Communications Contest.

This year’s contest saw 533 entries in 20 categories from high schools all across California. Despite the organization’s name, this contest was open to young journalists of all genders.

Congratulations to our award winners:

Hannah Woodworth, ‘19: Second place in Editorial
Madison Harris-Weiner, ‘19: Third place in Review
Trevor Klein, ‘19: Honorable mention in Opinion
Lily Humphrey, ‘19: Third place in Cartooning and honorable mention in Cartooning

“To me, everyone on Publications is a winner,” said staff advisor Kelly Parker. “These students work so hard all year to create award-winning publications, articles, photographs and cartoons. I’m so honored and proud that CPW chose to award these four outstanding individuals for their contributions. They all truly deserve it.”
