Sage Hill Students Earn Recognition, Scholarship
A group of Sage Hill seniors are receiving well-deserved recognition for their academic, co-curricular and service work.

Coca-Cola Scholar
Senior Michelle Chen was named a 2016 Coca-Cola Scholar and will receive a $20,000 scholarship to the college or university of her choice, and she was asked to travel to Atlanta on March 31-April 3 for the Coca-Cola Scholars Weekend. Only 150 students out of 87,000 initial applicants earned a scholarship for best exemplifying superior leadership and dedication to their community.

National Merit Scholarship Finalists
Six Sage Hill seniors are now finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program. All finalists will be considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2016.

The Sage Hill School National Merit Scholarship Program finalists are:

• Michelle Chen
• Ashwin Dharne
• Janis Jin
• William J. Paivine III
• Kenneth Park
• Kitra Razin

Selection of 7,400 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of more than 15,000 finalists is now underway.

Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers
Senior Janis Jin recently was chosen as a “Shining Star” for the Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers program. Disneyland Resort Dreamers & Doers celebrates the power of possibility and recognizes students who take action to improve their community, home or school.

Sixty students from various high schools throughout Orange County were honored as Shining Stars. They represent a unique group of Orange County youth who have made a positive impact in their homes, schools and communities. In honor of their efforts, each Shining Star received a medal of recognition and a $1,000 grant for their high school.
