Sage Hill Junior Wins Second Place for Mock Trial Artwork
Junior Lynn Fong was honored with an award for her artwork by the Constitutional Rights Foundation - Orange County as part of the 2015-2016 Mock Trial season in Orange County. Mock Trial exposes students to the field of law through simulated court cases tried before a judge. Sage Hill’s team participates in regional competitions.

Fong’s courtroom drawing during a mock trial competition received the second place award recently. “Our Mock Trial team is an amazing group of talented students who enjoy competing in these law-related tournament-style events,” said Diego Izurieta, Sage Hill Spanish instructor and the faculty advisor for the Mock Trial team. “These events are engaging and highly educational and it’s great to see Lynn recognized for her visual artistry,” he added.

Approximately 1,000 high school students from more than 35 local high schools annually participate in the Mock Trial program that also includes courtroom art and journalism contests, according to the Constitutional Rights Foundation – Orange County.
