Twenty Sage Hill Students Tapped as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
Sage Hill School congratulates 20 seniors who were named as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists on Friday.
This recognition is annually afforded to only 16,000 high school students nationwide for their pursuit of academic excellence. Students were entered into the scholarship program by earning top marks on the 2025 Preliminary SAT.
Typically, 95% of semifinalists earn the opportunity to be named as finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Program. About half of these finalists win a National Merit Scholar title.

The College Counseling Team recently met with Sage Hill’s semifinalists to congratulate them on their recognition and walk them through the finalist application process.
“We could not be prouder of our 2026 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists,” said Carolyn Blair, Director of College Counseling. “Their recognition reflects exceptional academic achievement, placing them among the highest-scoring PSAT/NMSQT test takers in the nation. This accomplishment speaks to their dedication to academic excellence, challenge and growth, and we are confident they are well prepared to pursue their goals in college."
National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced as early as April 2027.
