Ninth Grade Writing Workshop

Who: Sage Hill students entering grade 9
When: Four two-week sessions offered
Session 1: Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14; 9:00 to 11:00 AM and Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21; 9:00 to 11:30 AM (This workshop will not meet on June 19.)
Session 2: Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14; 12:00 to 2:00 PM and Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21; 12:00 to 2:30 PM (This workshop will not meet on June 19.)
Session 3: Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 9; 9:00 to 11:00 AM 
Session 4: Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 9; 12:00 to 2:00 PM
Cost: $950 per session
During this two-week, non-credit course, students will work with English faculty members on the skills necessary for a successful beginning to their English careers at Sage Hill School. In addition to practicing analytical writing strategies and proper annotation skills, students will work on their summer reading assignments for English I. Students will make new friends in an environment that will set them on the right path for the upcoming school year.

Students should bring a copy of "Lord of the Flies" and "This I Believe," as well as a pen, pencil and notebook. A laptop is preferred.
