Lightning Edges Newport Harbor in Tight Girls Tennis Match

Sage Hills’ Celine Wang swept at #1 singles while Jaclyn Gerschultz and Amira Tarsadia each took 2 of 3 at #2 and #3 singles to take 7 of 9 singles matches. That enabled the Lightning’s doubles teams to be in range of winning with just 4 of 9 doubles matches. Sage lead 4-2 after the first round and 8- 4 after the second round. The final round was a 3 to 3 tie but that gave Sage the 11-7 non – league win.

Sage is 2-2 overall while Newport Harbor is 6-6 with both teams starting league play later this week. Sage Hill 11, Newport Harbor 7
