Two Sage Hill alumni were named to the Forbes Magazine 30 Under 30 list of disrupters who are reinventing fields such as finance, energy, art & design. Mark Ramadan, Sage Hill class of 2004, was named as a leader in the Food & Wine category and Matthew Schlicht, Sage Hill Class of 2006, was named as a leader in the Social & Mobile category.

Forbes describes this listing as, “These are the people who aren't waiting to reinvent the world. FORBES, leaning on the wisdom of its readers and the greatest minds in business, presents the 30 disrupters under 30, in each of 12 fields, making a difference right now.”

At 25, Mark Ramadan ('04) is co-founders of Sir Kensington's Gourmet Scooping Ketchup. He and his partner made ketchup out of their Brown University dorms before fully launching in 2010. His products are currently sold in 1000 plus retailers including Whole Foods and Williams Sonoma.

When asked about the award Mark modestly comments, "My first thought was that it was a mistake, obviously, because if you look at the list ketchup doesn't seem to belong. World-changing chefs? Yes. Condiments? Odd. What I realized, though, is that these types of recognitions tend to be more predictive than descriptive, so I take it as an earnest challenge to continue to push the mission. Hopefully we can show the editors that it wasn't a typo!"

At 23, Matt Schlicht and his business partner are well known in the Silicon Valley. His business partner Mazy Kazerooni also attended Sage Hill for part of his high school career. Sage Hill is where the two meet and formed the foundation for their future ventures. The Social media wunderkinds grew Lil Wayne's Facebook following to 30 million and have parlayed that into music startup, Tracks.by.

Matt has this advice for other Sage Hill entrepreneurs out there:

"These are the rules I live by that got me to where I am today and I'm sure will continue to bring me to new and amazing places.
1) If you are passionate about something, do it. If you fail, get up. This is your life, it is not a practice run, do not waste any time doing something you do not love.
2) Planning gets you nowhere. Execution is everything.
3) Do not worry about things you can not change, do not be a negative person, do not argue to argue, it is a waste of valuable energy. Spend all of your time learning, solving problems, and helping others.
4) If you want to make an impact on the world do it by creating something that improves people's lives. Coincidentally this is also how you create a business.
5) Think. I'm surprised by how many who don't."
A big CONGRATULATIONS to these two alumni!
