New Student Email Account Pilot Program
Dear Sage Hill Students,
I'm writing to let you know an exciting pilot program that we've just launched. To test drive the new email system, please follow these instructions.
This isn't a permanent move but rather a test drive to see how it is received by you. If it's well received, it's our hope that we can move all of our students to this system. The email system leverages Google's technology and has the familiar look of Gmail but branded for our school. The email addresses will have a @student.sagehillschool.org domain suffix. Your existing @sagehillschool.org will not be removed. You will have access to both systems.
We've tried to make it easier and more flexible for you. Here are brief highlights.
There are many more benefits that I haven't listed. If you have a Gmail account, this will look very familiar to you. Let us know what you think by replying to me or sending your comments to techhelp@sagehillschool.org.

- Login to virtualclass.sagehillschool.org
- Click on the link under New Email System
- Click on the Request Account button to begin the process of activating your account.
- Once the account is created, click Continue
- Click on the Go to My Mail Box button
- You will see a picture code confirmation with weird letters. Type in the letters in the box
- Click on the "I accept. Create my account" button

- Teachers can create resource calendars. You can add the resource calendar and it will show up alongside your personal calendar. For example, there might be a resource calendar for Concert practices/auditions or perhaps the schedule for the Academic Resource Center.
- You can store your files online and can access them from home and at school
- You will have a lot more storage space to keep email and files
- You can share you calendar and files with other students
- You can work collaboratively with each other on files
- You will only need to login once to virtual class. This will automatically log you in to your new email accounts
