The Sage Hill Wind and Percussion Ensemble as well as the String Orchestra will join forces and perform in the Winter Instrumental Concert on Friday, February 10 at 7:00 PM in the Black Box Theater at Sage Hill.
The entire community is invited. Admission is free of charge.
The concert's theme is “What Does Music Look Like?” According to Sage Hill instrumental music teacher Dr. Brent Dodson, "one of the ways that most of us experience the power of music is through its role in storytelling."
"Since the beginning of the film industry, music has always been central to the art," said Dodson. "Friday's program is a showcase for some of the great music from television and film. This includes music by John Williams (Schindler’s List), James Horner (Legends of the Fall), and Hans Zimmer (Man of Steel). The program also includes other musical tone paintings that depict vivid imagery through sound. We hope you can join us!"
