    Mr. Langdale came to Sage Hill in 2013 with 14 years of experience teaching science. He has taught AP, honors, and college prep chemistry at Canyon High School in Anaheim as well as Tesoro High School in Las Flores. Mr. Langdale has been identified as a Master Teacher by California State University, Fullerton and was named a Community Teacher Fellow in Math and Science by the University of California, Irvine. Mr. Langdale earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Northern Arizona University and is currently working on a Master's of Science in Chemistry with an emphasis in Chemical Education. Prior to his pursuing his degree work, Mr. Langdale played professional beach volleyball for two years.

    Daniel Langhorne joined Sage Hill School in 2022 as the Communications & Website Manager. He also serves as  Adviser to The Bolt student newspaper. Daniel previously worked at The Laguna Beach Independent, where he was executive editor since 2020. He has more than 12 years of experience as a reporter and editor for publications including Orange County Register, Los Angeles Times, The Christian Science Monitor, Daily Pilot, Newport Beach Independent and The War Horse. Langhorne currently serves as a board member with the Southern California Journalism Education Association. He earned bachelor’s degrees in English and Political Science from Chapman University.

    Jim Lau joined Sage Hill in 2021 as a mathematics teacher. He came from Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Cañada. He has been teaching mathematics for 20 years and has been highly involved in coaching basketball and organizing various student clubs including table tennis and Chinese Kung Fu. Mr. Lau is bilingual in Chinese and English.

    April Leavenworth joined Sage Hill as Lead Learning Specialist in July 2023. She previously served as a Learning Specialist at Blue Ridge School in St. George, Va., and a High School Educational Support Specialist
    at Maine Coast Waldorf School in Freeport, Me. She taught English language arts for five years in Winthrop Public Schools. Leavenworth earned her bachelor's degree from Emerson College, master’s degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport and a professional graduate certificate in educational therapy from UC Riverside. She is a doctoral candidate in Educational Psychology at Wichita State University.

    Jill Livermore joined Sage Hill in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Livermore comes to Sage Hill after spending more than 11 years at Irvine-based luxury clothing and jewelry manufacturer St. John Knits. She most recently served as the company’s Senior Vice President and CFO. Her areas of expertise include financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, payroll, risk management, and audit management.

    Dan Livingston joined Sage Hill as the new Director of Facilities in 2021. He comes to us from St. John Knits in Irvine, where he worked for 28 years. He started there as a Production Manager, transitioned to Director of Manufacturing and later took over as the Director of Facilities. He has a bachelor’s degree in business management from California State University, Fullerton.

    Laura Lyons joined Sage Hill in 2017 as an English teacher. She comes to Sage Hill from the Schools of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco, where she was the English Department Chair, developed the IB English curriculum, and taught all levels of English, including AP English Literature. Previously, she was an English teacher at Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles. She also has experience coaching cross country, track, and girls’ basketball. Mrs. Lyons holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and Spanish, with a minor in secondary education, and a master’s degree in child and adolescent literacy from Loyola Marymount University.
