    Kelly Abbate joined Sage Hill School as the Writer & Website Manager in 2017, after spending nearly 10 years working for the Los Angeles Times. In 2016, she was a member of the Times' Pulitzer Prize-winning team for Breaking News. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Chico. At Sage Hill, Mrs. Abbate previously served as the staff advisor for both The Bolt student newspaper and the Storm yearbook. In 2021, Mrs. Abbate became the Director of Communications & Marketing.

    Amanda joined Sage Hill School in 2022. She's mostly worked in general ledger accounting since 2016. Elder law, working capital, and equipment leasing are among the industries she has experience in. Before coming to Sage Hill, Amanda was a full cycle accounts payable specialist for an equipment leasing company.

    Mr. Ackerman joined Sage Hill in 2022 as the Network Systems Engineer. He came to us from the United States Marine Corps, where he worked as a Network Administrator for the 1st Marine Logistics Group, Combat Logistics Regiment 17. Mr. Ackerman left the Marine Corps as a Corporal and was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

    Bio
     
    Elizabeth Anauld joined Sage Hill as an English teacher in 2014 after eight years at JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano. During her tenure at JSerra, she served as English Department Chair, initiated revisions to the English curriculum, and developed writing standards for the school. She was also the academic advisor to at-risk students from lower socio-economic areas, helping them develop study skills and achieve academic success. Ms. Anauld also teaches courses in Freshmen Composition and Critical Thinking and Rhetoric at Orange Coast College. Prior to JSerra, Ms. Anauld taught at Bishop Amat High School in La Puente. Ms. Anauld holds a master’s degree in English from UCI. She also earned two bachelors degrees, in English and journalism, from Rutgers University. An accomplished swimmer, Ms. Anauld was a Big East All American and NCAA runner-up while at Rutgers, and she also competed in the 2000 Olympic trials.

    Mr. Anderson received Sage Hill’s Excellence in Teaching award in 2013 and was honored as a 2014 Teacher of the Year by the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. Before joining the Sage Hill faculty in 2002, Mr. Anderson taught all levels of math at Fairmont Preparatory Academy in Anaheim. Mr. Anderson earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Northwestern College.

    Cece Angotti joined the Sage Hill faculty in 2001 after ten years at the Windward School in Los Angeles, where she taught all levels of math from Pre-Algebra to Calculus. She was also the advisor to the student government and a softball coach. At Sage Hill, she has been the student council advisor and served as a lead class advisor. She coordinates the American Mathematics Competition (AMC) each year for Sage Hill students. Though she enjoys teaching all levels, her favorite class will always be Geometry. Ms. Angotti received her B.S. in applied mathematics as well as her master’s degree in education from the University of California, Los Angeles.
