    Director of Athletics, Assistant Coach Girls' Soccer
    Bio
     
    Megan Cid joined the Sage Hill staff in 2003 as junior varsity girls’ soccer coach, and she currently serves as the Director of Athletics and coach. She earned her B.S. in exercise and sports science from Vanguard University. As a three-sport varsity athlete in high school, she competed in volleyball, soccer and softball and was Female Athlete of the Year her sophomore, junior, and senior years. She attended Vanguard on a soccer scholarship, started all four years and was named team MVP and All Far West Regional Player her senior year. Ms. Cid has also coached soccer for more than 20 years. Her husband, Rodrigo “Chino” Cid, coached soccer at Sage Hill School for 8 years and they have two sons, Sebastian and Santiago.

    Bio
     
    Ms. Connolly joined Sage Hill as a founding faculty member in 2000. In 2016, she received Sage Hill’s Liz A. Resnick Award for her significant contributions to the life of the school. In 2019 she was honored with the Fiona Frasier Award for Excellence in Teaching. As Wellness Coordinator, she runs the 9th and 10th grade Wellness program and collaborates with students through Service Learning projects to educate and ensure all students think about and make choices that support their own wellbeing. She also encourages students to lead a balanced lifestyle inspiring compassion and service. She also coordinates grade-level assemblies on wellness topics, teaches yoga and coaches volleyball. Prior to Sage Hill, she served as the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at the University of California, Irvine for four years, and she coached the women’s volleyball team at Cornell University for two years. Under her leadership, Cornell won the Ivy League title twice and advanced to the NCAA tournament. Ms. Connolly herself had a distinguished athletic career at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she played both basketball and volleyball. She served as captain of UCLA’s national championship volleyball team and captain of the USA national team at the World University Games in Japan, finishing her career playing in the Italian professional league. Her volleyball jersey (#37) has since been retired by UCLA. Ms. Connolly has completed coursework towards her master’s degree at California State University, Fullerton, and several teacher trainings in yoga and massage therapy.
