    Mr. Carlson joined the Sage Hill faculty in 2004 after teaching mathematics, computer science, and programming at all different levels and in a variety of school environments. He taught at a private boarding school for the learning disabled and at Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, and he also taught at a middle school in Arizona. Mr. Carlson was previously the chair of the Mathematics department at Sage Hill. Mr. Carlson earned his B.A. in Mathematics/Applied Science with a specialization in computing from the University of California, Los Angeles.

    Claire Cassidy joined Sage Hill in 2017 as a math teacher. She comes to Sage Hill from Rolling Hills Preparatory School in San Pedro, where she taught multiple mathematics courses, including Business Calculus and Honors Precalculus. She previously taught at Chadwick School in Palos Verdes and at upper and middle schools in Vermont, Idaho and Connecticut. She also has coaching experience in tennis, ski racing, girls’ lacrosse and cheerleading, and is a current competitive tennis player. She received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Kansas, where she was nominated as a Rhodes Scholar.
