Sage Hill Tops Out Middle School & Second Gym

By Daniel Langhorne
Sage Hill School celebrated topping out its middle school and second gym project, reaching a major milestone in its multi-year campaign to add grades 7 and 8.

The Board of Trustees and major donors signed a steel beam before it was lifted on top of the structure. Sage Hill plans to open the doors to its inaugural seventh and eighth grade classes in August 2026. The middle school’s total enrollment is expected to reach about 140 students.

“As we look ahead to the next 25 years and beyond, I am filled with excitement and optimism, knowing that our partnership with generous supporters allows us to provide experiences that will shape the next generation of leaders,” Head of School Patricia Merz said.

Mike Bolen, Chair of the Sage Hill School Board of Trustees, thanked major donors for their staunch belief in the future of Sage Hill School.

“It is really exciting to think that in less than one year, we will be opening our campus to even more students in a brand-new building,” Bolen said. “We are fulfilling the vision of our founders from more than 25 years ago, and I feel honored to be a part of this historic undertaking.”

The online admission application is open for students applying to grades 7-12 for the 2026-2027 school year. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2026.
