Sage Hill Celebrates 14 Students Tapped as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
Sage Hill School congratulates 14 seniors who were named as National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists on Friday.
This recognition is annually afforded to only 16,000 high school students nationwide for their pursuit of academic excellence. Students were entered into the scholarship program by earning top marks on the 2024 Preliminary SAT.
Typically, 95% of semifinalists earn the opportunity to be named as finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Program. About half of these finalists win a National Merit Scholar title.

The College Counseling Team recently met with Sage Hill’s semifinalists to congratulate them on their recognition and walk them through the finalist application process.
“We are extremely proud of the academic excellence demonstrated by our 2025 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists,” said Carolyn Blair, Director of College Counseling. “Earning recognition for scoring in the top one percent of PSAT test takers nationwide is yet another testament to how dedicated our students are to academic challenge and rigor. They are well prepared for the challenges to come as they will soon embark on a competitive college process.”

National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced as early as April 2026.
