Coach Longoria has been the boy’s coach since the school’s inception and the girl’s coach all but the first year. In 2003, he brought the school its first Academy League Girl’s Championship in any sport. In 2005, his girl's team was the first team at Sage to defeat a CIF Division One Top Ten Team in Mater Dei, was the first team to be ranked in the OC Register's Top Ten Tennis Teams of Orange County, and was the first tennis team to win a CIF Team Championship Title, one of only two CIF championships won by Sage Hill. His boys and girls teams have also earned six Academy League titles and eight Runner-Up Academy League finishes and have finished ranked in the final CIF Top Ten Poll all but the first year. The last four years, the boys have reached the quarterfinals of the playoffs, and the girls have reached the semi-finals, finals, or won the title. For 48 straight weeks, four seasons, from 2004 through 2006, his girl’s team was ranked number one by the CIF-SS ranking committee.

Longoria has been an Olympic, Intercollegiate, and International Coach who played for a National Championship Collegiate team and coached one National Championship and three National Runner-Up teams. He has been a coach to two sitting Presidents and is recognized as one of the top five coaches in America by Stanford’s “Tennis Coach of the Decade” Dick Gould. He has been Academy League Coach of the Year three times. In 2007, Longoria was honored as USPTA California High School Tennis Coach of Year and is the first coach at Sage to win two Academy League titles in one school year (2007/08).

Longoria graduated Cum Laude with a BA from the University of Texas with graduate work at UT Dallas in Organizational Design & Behavior. While at the University of North Texas he was awarded the “Top Prof” Award by Mortar Board, a national honorary society for outstanding junior and senior women.

When not at Sage Hill, he runs AGL Tennis, which conducts tournaments, vacations, and instructional services. He serves on the Board of the Orange County Community Tennis Association and is the Executive Director of the Private Tennis Club Association of Orange County.
