Spring at Sage offers our students an unparalleled opportunity for leadership, creativity, and risk-taking beyond the traditional classroom. Immediately following spring final exams, all students and faculty spend a week participating in an intensive seminar, a group travel program, or a self-designed independent service or academic research project.
Learning Core Competencies
Spring at Sage takes students out of the classroom with exciting travel experiences, or offers them a creative in-school experience, where they can work closely together on meaningful projects, have fun experiences with their peers, and learn about the today's most exciting trends such as organic horticulture or post-modern film.
Together, students enhance their cross-cultural competencies, further collaborate with their Sage Hill peers or with peers from around the world. Spring at Sage helps students build character as they take their year-end journeys. Many are asked to keep journals, give presentations and take classes in special local cultural trends when they travel. Those who work on independent projects and attend seminars give presentations to the entire school about what they have learned.
