Lightning Go 2-0 in Academy League Play

Academy League 2013 MVP Jaclyn Gerschultz swept at #1 singles while all 9 doubles matches were swept by the Lightning for 12 of the 18 points. Celine Wang at #2 singles went 2-0 before being replaced and Amira Tarsadia at #3 singles went 1-1 before being replaced by Lauren Fishman who won the last match of the day to give Sage Hill a 16-2 win in Academy League play.  Marina Anderson/Isabella Deckey at #1 doubles, Maya Byrd/Crystal Yu at #2 doubles, and Tess Alexander/Abby Ruck never lost more than 1 game a set with Ruck/Alexander winning all three sets 6-0. Sage, ranked #6 in the CIF D2 Weekly Top Ten Poll, is now 2-0 in league while Crean is 0-3. Sage next plays away on Friday against St. Margaret's. Sage lead 6-0 after the first round and 11-1 after the second round.
