Lightning Defeat Strong Oxford Team for Second Time This Season
Lightning Defeat Strong Oxford Team 11-7 for second time in Academy league play Cypress – Liana Korber in singles and Kimberly Brown/Molly Wang in doubles swept to give Sage Hill 6 points while Celine Wang and Kimia Valkili each took one match in singles and while Tess Alexander and Marina Anderson took one doubles as Lauren Hsu and Jaclyn Gerschultz took 2 doubles matches for an 11-7 win, the same score that when they played earlier in the season. Sage lead 4-2 after the first round, 7-5 after the second round, and took 4 of 6 in the last round. Oxford is in third place in the league with an 4-3 record with Crean and St.Margaret’s left on their schedule. Sage is undefeated and in first place with a 5-0 record with Whtiney and St. Margaret’s remaining in league play. St. Margaret’s is in second place with a 4-1 record.
