Woodbridge defeats Sage Hill 14-2 in Boys Tennis Non League

Irvine – The Lightning managed only two wins against the Warriors. Sage senior Robbe Simon lost more matches than he did last season winning only one of three matches going 1-2 for the day. The Lightning’s number one doubles team of junior Ryan Lee and sophomore Eric Magliarditi had the best results losing two matches in tie breakers and winning their last match.
Sage is 0-2 for the season while Woodbridge is 1-0.
“We have four new starters in this season’s line up and we need to get them up to speed in a hurry,” said Coach A.G. Longoria. “We did not have a good day as they played at a much higher level than we did.”

Sage host the 9th Annual Lightning Invitational this weekend at The Tennis Club of Newport Beach. Teams include Newport Harbor, Tesoro, Sage Hill and Oaks Christian.
