Lightning Take on Mt. SAC

The Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams competed at the Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday, October 21st.  For 16 members of the team, it was their first ever running of the challenging and historic course.  The varsity teams competed in the Division V Sweepstakes race, which highlights many of the best small school teams in California.  The Boys’ Varsity finished 6th, running the fastest team time in the 12-year history of Sage Hill Cross Country.  Leading the boys were Dylan Thies (25th), Chris Andras (28th), Brennan Hicks (48th), Jack Percival (29th), and Ryan Fishel (68th).  The girls finished 10th led by Sophia Witte (33rd), Brittany Andressoo (39th), Naomi Granados (43rd), Caroline Grant (56th), and Sonya Mital (61st).  Both teams head into Academy League Championships Tuesday, November 1st at Irvine Regional Park in Orange.
