The Lightning participated in the Orange County Championships this weekend. The Boys' Varsity, competing in Division 3, finished 5th out of 26 schools led by Jack Percival (20th), Brennan Hicks (21st), Chris Andras (22nd), Dylan Thies (44th), and Ryan Fishel (61st). Fishel's time of 17:22 was a 25 second personal best and shrunk the team's spread (time between 1st runner and 5th runner) to 47 seconds!
The Girls' Varsity team had one of their best ever finishes at the county meet finishing 7th out of 19 schools, despite having a few key members missing. The Lightning were led by Sophia Witte (28th), Brittany Andressoo (44th), Naomi Granados (63rd), Lily Mora (87th), and Sonya Mital (92nd).
