Separation Hill: Boys/Men of Sage Hill
Being a champion is about preparation and separation. One must prepare their bodies and mind for championship effort. They must also separate themselves from their competition by going above and beyond the status quo.
On April 18th, 2009, thirteen members of the Sage Hill football team (Jordan Grammer, Ford Hanour, Adam Donchess, Randall Mycorn, Conor Ascher, Brendan Killaly, Taylor Petty, Adam Gaughan, Sam Simon, David Livingston, TJ Danner Colton Gyulay and Ali Fazeli) began their quest for separation and preparation. They participated in the clearing and leveling of a 15 foot wide, 40 yard stretch of land with a 70 degree incline located on the Sage Hill School campus. This stretch of land will be used for training purposes and will be instrumental in developing the type of physical and mental toughness it takes to create and become a champion.
The purpose of the hill excavation is to create a training ground unlike any other used by Sage Hill opponents. It is also meant to begin a training tradition and legacy for every member of the Sage Hill family from this date forward. This training tool, created by the Sage Hill football team, will forever change the way we train and prepare as an athletic program. It will be of great benefit for all in the Sage Hill family for years to come.
Football Skills Camp
On Saturday, June 27th, Sage Hill School will host a skills camp open to all high school students. Kirk Morrison of the Oakland Raiders, Kevin O'Connell of the New England Patriots, and Nnamdi Asomugha of the Oakland Raiders will join J.R. Tolver, Sage Hill's new Director of Boys' Athletics and former receiver for the Dallas Cowboys, at the camp. There will be one-on-one coaching by current and former professional players.
