Sage defeats Woodbridge

After getting the nervousness out of their systems from the season opener game against Laguna Hills, Sage came out strong right from the first draw against Woodbridge. The score was head-to-head for the majority of the game with some jaw-dropping saves from Sage goalie Walker Moore in the last few minutes, overall totaling 16 saves. The win was a team effort with the Lightning controlling 75 percent of the ground balls, and the defense really stepping up their game. Hayden Furey scored six goals, Sally Mace scored three, and Daria Gordeeva-Grinkova and Niki Gozali each scored their first points of the season.
