Girls Win Academy League!!! Boys Place 3rd!

In their best effort of the season to date, the girls' team ran spectacularly well at the Academy League Championships. Every single girl on the varsity team got a season best time, and the team placed 5 runners in the top 11.  Leading the way were Sophia Witte (3rd), Brittany Andressoo (4th), Naomi Granados (6th), Caroline Grant (8th), and Lili Mora (11th).  The girls beat 2nd place St. Margaret's 32-57!

The boys also ran well against very competitive Academy League competition.  The boys scored 77 points, placing 3rd behind Crean Luthern (58) and defending state champion St. Margaret's (17).  Scoring for the lightning were Jack Percival (10th), Chris Andras (11th), Dylan Thies (13th), Ryan Fishel (19th), and Alexis Michaca (24th).

Both teams qualified for CIF and will be shooting for a top-7 performance at CIF Finals on November 19th.
