Sage Hill defeats Oxford in Boy's Tennis in Battle of Top Two Best Campuses
In an Academy League boys tennis match between Orange County's top two most academically challenging high schools rated by the Washington Post this season, Sage Hill prevailed 13-5. The Lightning, playing without #1 singles freshman Adam Langevin, won 5 of 9 singles matches as freshman Omead Moini and sophomore Kenan Torlic won 2 matches each while sophomore Noah Koumas won 1 match. In doubles Sage took 8 of 9 matches as senior's Eric Maglairditi/David Kim swept all 3 at #1 doubles, junior Shayan Emtiaz/freshman Han Chin won 2 matches, and sophomore Ashwin Dhame/Chin, juniors Kian Etedali/Amir Soleimany, and freshman Grant Janavs/Etedali each won matches.
With 1 league match remaining Sage has a lock on 2nd in the Academy League while Oxford is in 5th place. Sage plays Oxford again at their place next Tuesday.
