How to Apply

Our regular admission application deadline was January 31. If you are still interested in applying for grades 9-12 for the 2024-2025 school year, please email your child's previous school year's transcript, along with the first semester transcript for the 2023-2024 school year, to admission@sagehillschool.org. After review, of the transcripts, a decision will be made as to whether or not your child is eligible to apply.

If you are interested in our Flexible Tuition Program, please note that the application deadline was January 31. Flexible Tuition applications received after this date will only be considered should any available funds remain.

  • Begin the Online Application Process

    Our regular admission application deadline was January 31. If you are still interested in applying for grades 9-12 for the 2024-2025 school year, please email your child's previous school year's transcript, along with the first semester transcript for the 2023-2024 school year, to admission@sagehillschool.org. After review, of the transcripts, a decision will be made as to whether or not your child is eligible to apply.
  • Complete the Application Checklist

    • After the online application has been accepted (typically 48 hours excluding weekends), log back into your account to access the application checklist.
    • Upload a copy of your child’s original birth certificate.
      • If your child was not born in the United States, please upload the following:
        • a translated copy of the birth certificate to English.
        • a copy of the current Permanent Resident Card or Appropriate Visa (cannot be F1, J1 or M1).
  • On-Campus Interview

    • Upon birth certificate verification, a new checklist item will appear for you to schedule the applicant’s interview.
    • Interviews are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
    • Interviews are for the student only and take about one hour.
    • Parents applying for Flexible Tuition will meet with the Associate Director of Admission and Financial Aid at the same time as the student interview.
  • Required Standardized Testing

    All applicants must take either the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT).

    ISEE
    • Official score reports, sent directly to Sage Hill School using code 054282, must be submitted by the application deadline date of January 31.
    • Sage Hill will accept ISEE tests taken at a test site or at home. The at-home online version proctored by the ERB or Prometric are accepted.

    SSAT
    • Official score reports, sent directly to Sage Hill School using code 7039, must be submitted by the application deadline date of January 31.
    • Sage Hill will accept SSAT tests taken at a test site or at home.
  • Official Transcripts

    • Download, print, and fill out the Parental Permission for Release of Students Records form.
    • Return the completed form to the applicant’s current school.
      • If your child attended more than one school in the last two years, a form must be submitted to each school for official Transcripts and records must be sent directly from the current school to Sage Hill School.
  • Recommendations

    All required recommendations are submitted through the application checklist.  Insert the names and email addresses for the following:
    • Current Principal, Head of School, Counselor or Advisor
    • Current English Teacher
    • Current Math Teacher
    The recommendation forms will be emailed directly to the person listed.  Once the recommendation form has been completed and submitted by one of the people listed above, the item within the checklist will be automatically checked off.
