Apply to Sage Hill

Sage Hill School is now pre-screening applicants for grades 9-12 during our rolling admission for the 2019-2020 school year.  BEFORE SUBMITTING AN ONLINE APPLICATION, please contact the Admission Office for details via e-mail to or via telephone at 949-219-1337.

Please note that applications requesting financial aid will not be processed as we have passed the deadline of February 15, 2019 for a completed admisson file.
The Sage Hill School online application process is simple. Just follow the instructions below:
  1. At the top of the “Apply to Sage Hill” webpage, please click on the green button “Apply Online Here.”
  2. For new families that have never applied, create a login username and password. (Families that have previously applied to Sage Hill School online can use their existing username and password.)
  3. Fill out the online application, electronically sign and submit with the $100 application fee.
  4. After 48 hours (excluding weekends), log back into the application and upload your child’s birth certificate. For non U.S. citizens, please upload one of the following required documents with the birth certificate: Valid Permanent Resident Card/Green Card, OR Valid Visa (cannot be an F1, J1 or M1 status). Wait 24 hours (excluding weekends), then log back into the online application to complete the remaining checklist items in the Parent Portal:
  5. Select an interview date and time via the interactive interview scheduling calendar.
  6. Schedule your child for the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Testing between October and January 31 is highly recommended.
  7. Forward the automatic request for your child’s recommendation forms by entering an email address as appropriate: a) Current Principal or Counselor; b) Current English Teacher; c) Current Math Teacher
  8. Download, print and fill out the Parental Permission for Release of Students Records form. Follow the instructions on the form.
That’s it! You can always log back into your child’s application to see your checklist and progress of the application.
Decisions will be announced the last week of February for all candidates who have completed the entire admission process by February 15.

Information for Non U.S. Citizens and U.S. Citizens Studying Abroad

Sage Hill School does not issue the I-20 Visa for international students.

Certain Visas can be accepted as long as they are NOT one of the following:  F-1, J-1 or M-1.

Students holding a current Permanent Resident Card/Green Card are eligible to apply if they meet the criteria below.

Students who have not been enrolled continuously in a U.S. school, located in the U.S., since the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year are not eligible to apply for admission until the Admission Office has received official testing results directly from one of the following English language tests:

To receive an invitation to apply for admission to Sage Hill, the student must score a minimum of 5 in every category.  Students that do not have access to the iTEP Slate-Plus test can take the TOEFL.  The same minimum TOEFL score applies to applicants for grade 9.

To receive an invitation to apply, a total score of 94 with a minimum of 22 in the reading section is required.
