    Bio
     
    Jacqueline Davidson joined Sage Hill in 2023. With over 10 years of board-certified athletic training experience, Davidson most recently served as Athletic Trainer at Crean Lutheran High School. Her prior experience also includes working as Athletic Trainer for the Stanford University Baseball Camp as well as a faculty member and Director of Clinical Education at Positional Release Therapy Institute in Ogden, Utah.
     
    Davidson earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Cal Poly Pomona and M.S. in Athletic Training from California Baptist University, Riverside. She’s also certified in Positional Release Therapy.

    Bio
     
    Ms. Dear is an Orange County native who began her teaching career at Sage Hill School in 2001. She has taught mathematics at all levels from Algebra I through AP and Multivariable Calculus, and has also coached tennis, served as twelfth grade Lead Class Advisor and Service Learning Coordinator, and led the Outdoor Education Program. Before she began teaching, she worked as an environmental geologist and as an actuary. Ms. Dear graduated from Brown University with degrees in mathematics and geology, and was a Klingenstein Summer Fellow at Columbia University.

    Melissa Deckers
    Director of Annual Fund
    Bio
     
    Melissa Deckers joined Sage Hill in 2022 as Director of Annual Fund. She previously work at Harvard-Westlake, where she served as the Associate Director of Annual Giving since 2017. She has a bachelor’s degree in communications from San Diego State University and a master’s degree in sports management from the University of San Francisco.

    Advancement Campaign and Events Manager

    Libby Desmond joined Sage Hill as the Advancement Office Coordinator in 2023. She was promoted to Advancement Manager -- Events and Support in July 2024. Desmond has extensive experience in the education field and most recently served as Director of Academic Tutoring at CA Future Focused. She's also worked as an executive function coach and tutor. Libby earned her bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Loyola University Chicago.

    Instrumental Music Teacher
    Bio
     
    Dr. Dodson joined the Sage Hill community in 2014. An exceptionally skilled musician and educator, he has taught music performance, appreciation as well as theory, and held positions at Bard, Luther, Waldorf, and Santa Monica Colleges. Previously, he was a teaching artist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Mr. Dodson studied trumpet at The Juilliard School in New York, where he earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in music performance. He also holds a doctorate in musical arts from the University of Southern California.

    Steven started at Sage Hill School in August 2022. He has taught in private schools for his entire career, which has included teaching fourth graders to twelfth graders. For the last 20 years, Steven has taught History and Economics courses at the high school level. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1989 with a BA in History and started his teaching career immediately.
