Sage Hill School Wins Environmental Service Grant

Sage Hill School Wins Environmental Service Grant
Thanks to a generous grant from the Opus Community Foundation, Sage Hill School’s Environmental Club and Garden Collaborative Service Learning group will work together with Orange County’s Inside the Outdoors and alumnus Peter Fankuchen to build an aquaponic garden on Edward B. Cole, Sr. Academy’s campus in Santa Ana. Once built, Sage Hill students, with some help from Inside the Outdoors will be able to work closely with teachers and students at Edward B. Cole to create a curriculum that can be used for years to come as the garden develops. This unique collaboration between community organizations and Sage Hill students past and present represents what the Service Learning program at Sage Hill School is all about.
