7 Students Win Writing Awards -- Including 3 Gold Keys
This year, seven Sage Hill students were recognized in the 2021 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for outstanding achievement in a variety of genres including poetry, personal essay, short story, fashion and flash fiction.
These Sage Hill students earned 19 awards in total, which included three prestigious Gold Key awards. Senior Jolin Chan received two -- one for Poetry and one for Short Story -- and senior Daisy Wang received one for Short Story.
These Gold Key entries are automatically considered for national awards.
“In these challenging times our students have responded with courageous and open hearts, producing works of lasting importance,” English teacher Arlie Parker said. “Their accomplishments this year are especially remarkable, and I will not forget their achievements. They have made our Sage Hill Community proud!”
