SHIP Parent Kickoff Meeting & Updates to Program

SHIP Parent Kickoff Meeting & Updates to Program
The Sage Hill Internship Program is an optional program that offers students skills development, real-life and hands-on work experience, and an introduction to potential careers.

For parents who are interested in volunteering or learning more about SHIP, there will be a kickoff meeting at 6:30 PM on Thursday, September 17. For more information or to get the Zoom link, please email Norma Partida at partidan@sagehillschool.org.

This year, we are once again offering two levels of programming to student participants, as part of what we are now calling SHIP Prep.

In SHIP Prep Level 1, students will participate in resume workshops and reviews; mock interviews; and will learn and develop skills needed to secure a Shadow Day or internship.

In SHIP Prep Level 2, students will improve their business communication skills, as well as work on resume tune-ups, cover letters, networking, workplace skilled and interviewing skills. Students may only take Level 2 if they have successfully completed Level 1. If students complete the courses, they will earn credit on their transcripts.

We will also be hosting multiple SHIP Panels throughout the year. These panels will feature speakers (both parents and alumni) that will introduce students to a wide range of careers and industries. The panels will be moderated, followed by a Q&A period and networking opportunities for students.

Other SHIP Opportunities include networking with Sage Hill parents and alumni, a mentorship program, Shadow Days and internships.

More information about SHIP Prep and SHIP Panels will be provided to students closer to event dates.
