Students Medal in Competitive National Exams for Latin

Students Medal in Competitive National Exams for Latin

More than a dozen Sage Hill students won awards after taking the National Latin Exam (NLE) and National Mythology Exam (NME).

These exams are taken by tens of thousands of students across the country. Results are awarded based off achievement level and are further demonstration of the students' commitment to learning about Greco-Roman antiquity. In addition to the NLE and the NME, students also had the option of taking the National Roman Civilization Exam (NRCE) and the National Latin Vocabulary Exam (NLVE). All of these exams are highly competitive.

“I appreciate that students are willing to go the extra mile and test out their knowledge and skills compared to other students not only across the United States, but also internationally,” said Latin teacher Jeffrey Feland. “The National Latin Exam is administered in several countries around the world. The fact that nearly all of our students won awards shows just how much our students have achieved!”
