The Bolt Student Newspaper Wins Best in Show at OCJEA Competition
Sage Hill’s student newspaper, The Bolt, took home top honors in its division and won Best in Show during the Orange County Journalism Education Association (OCJEA) regional competition on Saturday, March 2.
The Bolt Online (www.lightningboltonline.com), the newspaper’s website, won second place in the Best of Show category.
Senior Madison Harris-Weiner individually placed fifth in the Critical Review writing category.
“To win Best in Show from OCJEA is truly a huge honor,” Publications advisor Kelly Parker said. “This was also the first year we submitted our website for consideration and to get a second place in that category is also an amazing accomplishment. I’m so proud of everyone on the Publications staff who puts in countless hours of their own time to produce student journalism of the highest quality.”
