Senior Celebrates Multicultural Fair in Artwork

Senior Celebrates Multicultural Fair in Artwork
Inspired by global diversity, Sage Hill senior Matt Warden created this year’s winning artwork for the upcoming 2017 Multicultural Fair. Each year, students create artwork inspired by the popular Parent Association event celebrating Sage Hill’s and our greater community’s multiculturalism.

“I think that culture is important because of the significance it plays in people’s lives,” said Warden. “In my poster, I wanted to show the actual people from different cultures. I tried to represent cultures from many different regions of the world—almost every continent—so more people could find something they can relate to in the poster,” he added.

Warden, an aspiring film director, says the fair is an extremely important campus event for students, parents, and the entire community. “It allows us to see an aspect of people’s lives that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience.”

This year’s Multicultural Fair is Saturday, March 18 at Sage Hill in Wilkins Town Square, which is transformed into an exciting global village. The fair includes inspiring culinary treats and savory homemade dishes for sale at international food booths. Cultural entertainment, student performances, and lots of fun activities for children of all ages make the day unforgettable.
