Parent Education Evening October 25

Parent Education Evening October 25
Current Sage Hill parents are invited to join us at our upcoming Sage Hill Parent Education Series event on Tuesday, October 25, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Studio at Sage Hill. Our speakers include Sage Center Director Danae Howe and Sage Center Assistant Director for Global Outreach, Bethany Pitassi, who oversees Spring at Sage and the Sage Hill Internship Program (SHIP).

From 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM, parents are invited to attend a reception hosted by Head of School Patricia Merz in the Le Bon Family Lobby where you can enjoy light appetizers and an opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow parents and members of Sage Hill's faculty, staff and administration.

Our Sage Hill Parent Education Series brings together parents, faculty and staff to ensure our families are fully informed about our innovative and individualized educational offerings. This event will help parents understand how their child can get involved and get the most out of Sage Hill’s internship and Spring at Sage programming this year.

The evening will include presentations about:

  • Spring at Sage: We’ll discuss the program’s planning process and how the School incorporated our Core Competencies – also known as our 6 Cs – into each seminar and trip. We’ll walk you through who participates in the program, new innovative journaling requirements as well as review our faculty-created seminars and faculty-led global trips.

  • Sage Hill Internship Program (SHIP): Learn about the inspiration behind SHIP and what the program can offer your student. We’ll also discuss what work students perform in the program, how they must prepare for SHIP in an online Canvas class, and the program’s timeline. Discover how you can help our students, too.
The event will conclude with a Q&A.
