Sage Hill Welcomes Therapy Dogs December 10
If you see a golden retriever or yellow lab on the Sage Hill campus next week, please know that Sage Hill is really going to the dogs…the therapy dogs, that is. Paws 4 Healing, an all-volunteer non-profit organization that specializes in animal-assisted therapy services, will bring a host of dogs and their handlers to campus on Thursday, December 10.

Students can meet and interact with the dogs and their handlers from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The dogs will be available at the bottom of the grassy hill between the volleyball courts and the lower D. Diane Anderson Family Humanities Building.

“Therapy dogs are great way to keep students relaxed and focused as they study for their final exams,” said Tyler Zarubin, Sage Hill science teacher who reached out to Paws 4 Healing to bring the group to campus. “We know our students will look forward to meeting the dogs,” he added.

Zarubin and the Sage Hill staff worked together to ensure that the extremely well-trained dogs are in an easily accessible location that will not impact anyone with allergies or pose any other risks.
