Sage Hill Admission Open House Draws Record-Breaking Crowd
A record-breaking number of prospective students and parents attended the Sage Hill School Admission Open House on Saturday, October 17. As Orange County’s premier independent high school, Sage Hill offers an unparalleled opportunity for students to learn and thrive in a dynamic and vibrant high school environment.
With a legacy of pioneering an innovative and individualized approach to education, the School is always a popular and sought-after choice for eighth grade students and their families. The School’s Admission Open House gave prospective Sage Hill students and their parents an overview of academics, co-curricular activities, arts and athletics. Potential Sage Hill candidates also heard from Sage Hill Head of School Patricia Merz and Sage Hill President Gordon McNeill who discussed the School’s vision and mission.
Spirited Sage Hill Student Council President Matt Aghaian, a senior at the School, emceed the trivia style presentation where current students helped the audience learn about Sage Hill through a game show format. Director of Admission and Financial Aid Elaine Mijalis-Kahn discussed important deadlines for applying to Sage Hill and key dates for candidates to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Following the program in the Studio Black Box Theater, prospective students and parents were welcomed to a tent in Wilkins Town Square where faculty and administration representing every academic department as well co-curricular programs were available to answer questions. Families could also take campus tours hosted by Sage Hill Student Ambassadors and enjoy delicious food from Sapphire, Sage Hill’s on-campus food provider.
