Upcoming Parent Education Night Focuses on Careers

Upcoming Parent Education Night Focuses on Careers
Sage Hill School President Gordon McNeill, along with parent volunteers, Michael Cupps and Rebecca Dewey, will host an informational evening for parents at 6:30 PM, November 3 in the Black Box Theater, where they will discuss the Sage Hill Internship Program (SHIP), Career Day, and Career Mixers. Together, SHIP and Career Day help guide our students toward meaningful decision-making about college, majors, and careers. All Sage Hill School parents are invited to attend to learn more about this valuable program that is designed exclusively for Sage Hill students and alumni.

How Can the Community Take Part in the Sage Hill Internship Program?
Parents will learn how they can become involved in SHIP and how their students can participate. In its third year, SHIP enables students to contemplate and explore potential careers while learning and understanding the necessary steps in pursuing a job and career in the future. Last summer, SHIP offered 118 positions including internships, shadow days, and other potentially life-changing opportunities. In previous years, generous community members offered internships exclusively for Sage Hill students and during this evening you will learn how you, or your company, can become involved. Participate in Career Day and Career Mixers
Sage Hill invites professionals to share their career paths and work experience with our students during Career Day on March 16, 2016. Professionals, who represent a wide range of fields, come to campus and speak to small groups of students. Throughout the year, Sage Hill also hosts Career Mixers at the Pelican Hill Resort for parents to get together and mingle in a professional setting.
