Career Series is a three-part Sage Hill program: Career Panels, Sage Hill Internship Program (SHIP), and Career Mixers. Sage Hill students learn and develop professional skills. Year-round parent support is needed in small and larger time commitments.
SPEAK: Share your expertise in our Career Panel Series. (Medical on October 3, Entrepreneurship on December 5, and Arts on February 13. All times are from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.)
REVIEW: Review and provide feedback on student resumes. (Choose from November 7 and 9 or February 8 and 13 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.)
INTERVIEW: Conduct mock interviews with students in person, by phone or online. (Choose January 15 and 16 or March 15 and 20 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.)
HIRE: Provide an internship or shadow opportunity to Sage Hill students.
SUPPORT: Support Career Panel Days or Career Mixer events (September 20, October 25, January 24, March 14 and April 18 from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Pelican Hill).
Year-round, be alerted to upcoming events that provide one-off involvement opportunities. This could be an in-advance or a save-the-day request for cookies/water/fruit or a volunteer shift for a couple of hours.
Our biggest community event of the year, celebrating the diversity of our community. The event on March 16, 2019 features food booths, entertainment, ethnic bazaar, world crafts and more. There are year-round roles, day-of roles and everything in between.
Spring Celebration directly benefits all school programs, including Fund-a-Need specifically benefiting our financial aid endowment. The event will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Fletcher Jones Motorcars. Volunteers are needed for our sponsorships & underwriting, auction, raffle, wine sales, community outreach and all-hands on deck subcommittees.
The Annual Fund is crucial to the success of the School. Contributions makes a difference to every aspect of the Sage Hill experience, from clubs, athletics and arts productions to programs like Spring at Sage, the Sage Hill Internship Program and the Sage Center Speaker Series. The Parent Association’s role is to create awareness about the importance of participation. The Parent Association encourages families to help reach for the 100% participation goal.
We get that many parents just can’t swing the traditional path to support (conflicting work hours, younger kids, other commitments, etc.). But we would love to involve you in a way that works for you, so let’s be creative about it. For instance:
Send in goods for events
Do work at home (data entry, emailing, organizing, etc.)
Share special resources or skills (photography, graphic design, printing, large format printer, floral design, etc.)
