The Studio at Sage Hill Presents PLAY DESDEMONA
WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY, MARCH 4 at 4 PM & March 5 at 3:15 PM & 7 PM

It is London, 1661, and a tavern singer receives secret instruction in the performance of two great Shakespeare roles. As she discovers and inhabits Beatrice and Desdemona, she, and her tutor, reveal secret fears and troubled pasts, and evolve from ferocious opponents to uneasy collaborators to parties in an alliance more profound than either could ever have imagined. The Studio at Sage Hill Vision Statement

The Studio at Sage Hill offers our students a premiere venue for performing and visual arts.  But the Studio is much more than a campus resource.  Throughout the year, the Studio is the venue for professional performances, workshops, lectures and exhibitions intended for the broader Orange County community.  Since the Studio’s completion in 2009, its mission has been to enrich cultural awareness, thoughtful discussion, risk-taking, and creative thought throughout the community.  Our programming is intended to make art and art education accessible to everyone. Our schedule for the 2014-2015 season will be available shortly - check back soon!

Students’ Showcase

The Students’ Showcase is the cornerstone of the Studio’s programming and includes:

Fall and Spring Dance Collective
Mostly Sacred and Mostly Secular, Fall and Spring Choral Concerts
Winter and Spring Instrumental Concerts
Fall play, Winter musical and Spring One-Acts Festival
Theater Ensemble Performance
Visual Art Exhibition and Reception

Professional Performance Series

Each year, the Studio welcomes professionals from multiple disciplines to share their talents and insights with our students and the community. These events include concerts, performances, and exhibitions by accomplished artists in a wide range of areas.

Co-Production Series

In our co-production series, students are given unique opportunities to work alongside professionals. These include performances, exhibits, and master classes in which accomplished artists share their craft with the students.

Other events

The Studio hosts many other events throughout the year, including select presentations in the Newport Beach Film Festival each spring. A variety of other films, lectures, and presentations of interest to the community are presented in the Studio each year.
