Well into our second decade, Sage Hill counts nearly 1,200 bright, accomplished alumni who are making their mark in the world today. Our reputation as a leading high school in America sprang from the vision of a group of social entrepreneurs and enthusiastic parents. In the 1990s, they hatched what seemed like an audacious plan to build a non-profit, non-denominational, independent secondary school in Orange County. Their intention was to develop a school that would inspire innovative thinking, nurture creative thought, and embrace diversity. Since we opened our doors in September 2000 with just 120 students, that vision has been fulfilled. Our first class of courageous, compassionate, creative seniors graduated in 2003, setting a standard of excellence that has been met every year since.
Today, Sage Hill is heralded for our commitment to excellence in academics and co-curricular activities; our signature Spring at Sage, Service Learning, and Sage Hill Internship programs; our state-of-the-art classrooms, the Studio at Sage Hill, and the Lisa Argyros and Family Science Center; and so much more. We are recognized as a leader by peer educators at independent schools nationwide. Our faculty and administrators present at national conferences and we earn acknowledgement in key national surveys. All of this translates to recognition by colleges and universities as a school that prepares its students for success.
