Students at Sage Hill engage in all basic academic disciplines. Each student must complete a core curriculum consisting of: four years of English; three years of history, mathematics, science, world languages, and physical education; and two years of fine arts.
Graduation Requirements
All students are required to take a minimum of twenty courses (five per year over four years) to be eligible to graduate from Sage Hill School, although most students exceed this minimum during their course of study at Sage.
The minimum requirements are:
- ENGLISH : Four years required
- HISTORY AND SOCIAL STUDIES: Three years required
- MATHEMATICS: Course of study through junior year & Algebra II required
- SCIENCE: Three years lab science required
- WORLD LANGUAGES: Course of study through junior year & level III required
- PHYSICAL EDUCATION: Total of three years required, two must be completed in 9th & 10th grades (Dance elective may both fulfill physical education and arts requirement; participation on athletics team fulfills physical education requirement during the athletics season.)
- FINE ARTS: Two years required, may be completed in any discipline of arts (studio/ digital art, vocal, instrumental, theater or dance.)
