Instrumental Concert -- Friday, May 15 at 7:00 PM

Students in the Winds, Strings, and Guitar Ensembles will offer a special music performance to the Sage Hill community on Friday, May 15 at 7:00 PM in The Studio. The theme for this concert is “Reflections”, and it features an eclectic mix of music from the classical, jazz, popular, and world music traditions – filtered through the lens of the Sage Hill experience. Musical highlights include works by J.S. Bach, Mozart, Queen (yes that group), and Molly Chase, a current Sage Hill student. Admission is free.

S-Stop Community Photo Exhibit -- September 2015

S-Stop community photo exhibit has been put on hold until the beginning of the school year. Please submit 8" X 10" photographs to Ms. Okamura the week of Sept. 8th. No white borders and your full name/address/phone #/ title on the back. Submissions will not be accepted after Sept. 11th. If you want to print larger work or print your photographs on canvas, you may submit any size if it is ready to hang and/or properly framed at your expense. Please put this date on your day planner/calendar now. This gives you time to take, sort and print those special photographs you took during Spring at Sage or while on vacation. We encourage students, parents, staff and faculty to participate.

The Studio at Sage Hill Vision Statement
 
The Studio at Sage Hill offers our students a premiere venue for performing and visual arts.  But the Studio is much more than a campus resource.  Throughout the year, the Studio is the venue for professional performances, workshops, lectures and exhibitions intended for the broader Orange County community.  Since the Studio’s completion in 2009, its mission has been to enrich cultural awareness, thoughtful discussion, risk-taking, and creative thought throughout the community.  Our programming is intended to make art and art education accessible to everyone. Our schedule for the 2014-2015 season will be available shortly - check back soon!

Students’ Showcase

The Students’ Showcase is the cornerstone of the Studio’s programming and includes:

Fall and Spring Dance Collective
Mostly Sacred and Mostly Secular, Fall and Spring Choral Concerts
Winter and Spring Instrumental Concerts
Fall play, Winter musical and Spring One-Acts Festival
Theater Ensemble Performance
Visual Art Exhibition and Reception

Professional Performance Series

Each year, the Studio welcomes professionals from multiple disciplines to share their talents and insights with our students and the community. These events include concerts, performances, and exhibitions by accomplished artists in a wide range of areas.

Co-Production Series

In our co-production series, students are given unique opportunities to work alongside professionals. These include performances, exhibits, and master classes in which accomplished artists share their craft with the students.

Other events

The Studio hosts many other events throughout the year, including select presentations in the Newport Beach Film Festival each spring. A variety of other films, lectures, and presentations of interest to the community are presented in the Studio each year.
