Road to Broadway Series Workshop 3/5/2010 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Free Admission. Lead by Jenn Colella, this workshop will provide a one-on-one opportunity for High School musical theatre performers to share their talents with a Broadway actor. Participants are asked to prepare 16 bars of music from any musical in advance. At the workshop Jenn will choose three (3) students to work with and provide constructive feedback on their selection. Students must provide their own sheet music in its original key. An accompanist will be provided. Please note that all are invited to participate as observers of this exciting workshop. Road to Broadway Series presents: Jenn Colella 3/6/2010 7:30 PM Location: The Black Box Theatre in the Studio at Sage Hill
Jenn Colella has been a familiar face in the New York theatre scene since starring as Sissy in Broadway's Urban Cowboy, for which she received an Outer Critic's Circle Award Nomination. Since then she has appeared in Broadway's High Fidelity, starred in the world premier of The Times They Are A-Changin' at the Old Globe Theatre and recently performed in Beautiful Girls, a musical tribute honoring Stephen Sondheim at the World Festival of Theatre in Colorado Springs. Off-Broadway credits include Don't Quit Your Night Job (Ha! Comedy Club), Slut (The Actor's Theatre), and The Great American Trailer Park Musical (NYMF). Jenn proudly holds a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California, Irvine.
