New School Year Brings Change

New School Year Brings Change
The 2016-2017 school year kicked off this morning with town meeting in Wilkins Town Square. Head of School Patricia Merz welcomed the Sage Hill community and its newest members, the Class of 2020. Merz asked Facility Director John Bicking to read the school's mission statement and remind everyone of its importance, “We inspire in our students a love of knowledge and the ability to use that knowledge creatively, compassionately and courageously throughout their lives.”

With rousing applause, Student Council President Wyatt Manolakas also took the stage and asked his peers to embrace the changing campus, such as the enhanced security, the new food vendor, and the Aquatics Center construction. Next, President Gordon McNeill recognized student leaders and asked the entire community – students, parents, faculty and staff – to gather on the lawn for the annual group hug.
