Welcome to my new weekly blog!

In a perfect world, I’d have time every week to sit down and talk informally about the issues and events affecting the Sage Hill community. In the real world, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day business of running the school, yet the interactions between people in our community are what’s most important.

I hope this blog will add a new dimension to my relationship with each of you and strengthen our sense of community. Topics addressed will vary from controversial to light-hearted, from hard-core academic to purely entertaining. If I’ve attended an educational conference or read an article about a hot issue affecting education or teenagers, you’ll hear about it. If a campus-wide concern arises, or a student or teacher achieves something special, you’ll hear about that too. This blog is meant to be interactive, and I sincerely welcome your feedback as well as your suggestions for future posts. Your input helps shape the way I lead our community. Feel free to use the comments section on the blog, or to email me at mcneillg@sagehillschool.org, with your thoughts and ideas.
